The brochures "Certification Information" provide you with detailed explanations about the contents, scheme and background of the particular certification procedures.
Certification Information No. 3 of the former DVGW Certification Body
Flue Systems, Installation Requirements, System Certification
The updated DVGW-TRTI ´86/96 include a number of significant concessions on the installation and approval of gas appliances, including flue gas discharge and combustion air supply. Both the simplified requirements of the new Specimen Firing Ordinance of February 1995 and the harmonisation objectives of European Directives and standards have been taken into account here.
The latter provide for uniform classification and designation of the various types of appliance with respect to combustion air supply and flue gas discharge, which are also taken into consideration as part of the common system certification of appliances and flue systems under the EC Gas Appliances Directive. This system certification helps to achieve significant simplification and reduce costs and is therefore explicitly recommended by the DVGW Certification Body.
Certification Information No. 7 (2nd edition) of the former DVGW Certification Body
The EC Pressure Equipment Directive covers a broad and complex scope, irrespective of specific industrial sectors, affecting the gas industry, too. Regarding super-heated water or steam with temperatures higher than 110 °C, the EC Pressure Equipment Directive supplements the EC Gas Appliance Directive. This Certification Information explains the EC Pressure Equipment Directive in a user and gas industry specific way.
Alongside the essential elements of the Directive, the classification and conformity assessment of pressure equipment is explained and illustrated with logical consequence. Annex 2 explicitly lists the numerous components of gas supply and utilisation covered by the Directive and specifies the technical contents of the conformity assessment, citing relevant sources.
