Rules of Procedure
Rules of Procedure for the Certification of Products in the Non-harmonized Sector (accredited procedure since 01.01.2013)
For the certification of products in the non-harmonized sector new rules of procedure are coming into force since 01.01.2013. These rules are binding for all new certifications, extensions, modifications, and amendments of certificates. Essential modifications are concerning the single processing steps and their durations, the requirements for the testing laboratories, the introduction of a new EN conformity mark, the rules for recertification and expiry of certificates, and the measures in case of modifications and product defects. Until 31.12.2012 you have the opportunity to contradict the application of the new rules of procedure for your existing certificates. Otherwise the new rules of procedure are accepted. Assuming that you contradict until 31.12.2012 we are however obliged to replace your existing certificates with non-accredited versions due to conditions of our accreditation body DAkkS.
These rules of procedure describe the existing national procedure of DVGW CERT GmbH for certification and surveillance of products in the gas and water supply. Since this procedure is no longer in compliance with the actual accreditation requirements it can be applied since 01.01.2013 for non-accredited certifications only in case of contradiction against the new rules of procedure described above.
