In its capacity as certification body of this branch of industry, the DVGW Certification Body is authorised to handle all gas and water industry-specific certification procedures jointly with its affiliated test laboratories. This includes the testing, certifying and monitoring of gas and water-related products, quality and environmental management systems as well as of companies and persons in conformance with DIN EN ISO 9000 et seq. and DIN EN ISO 14001, which ensures both an industry-specific test design and efficient interaction of the individual procedures.
It goes without saying that the DVGW Certification Body bases its work on the principles of neutrality and independence as well as immediate access to in-depth technical know-how. In its work on European standardisation and regulation procedures, the DVGW Certification Body co-operates closely with German as well as international gas and water experts.
Thanks to our close ties with the DVGW research institutes we can constantly include the latest research and development findings into our testing and certification activities. Our ten certification committees, the nine bodies for the exchange of experience, eight test committees and two co-ordination committees ensure that external experts have their say in the interpretation of important issues and in individual decision-making processes.
