29. 10. 2008 First DVGW certificates for hoses and hose fittings for the non-permanent transport of drinking water (e.g. on fairgrounds)
After successful type examination, the first type examination certificate for hoses according to VP 549 and hose fittings according to VP 550 have now been issued.

A total of three drafts, one Code of Practice and two test specifications for the certification of water products have been added to the DVGW Standards and Codes of Practice between January and July 2008.
29. 10. 2008 Hygienic requirements for pull-out sprayer hoses on kitchen faucets and shower hoses used for body hygiene
Effective immediately, proof of KTW category A must be provided for pull-out sprayer hoses undergoing DVGW certification. KTW category C is sufficient for shower hoses used for body hygiene.
29. 10. 2008 Transitional arrangement for the hygienic requirements on plastic and elastomer parts in complex components and devices
Currently, proof for minor components required for DVGW certification can be provided until 31.12.2009.
