[You can visit our website without providing any personal data. When visiting our website, we will only collect so-called “server log files”, access data without any personal reference, such as the name of your Internet provider, the internet browser you use, the page from which you visit us, the date and time of your visit. This data is evaluated exclusively to improve our offer and does not allow to identify you. The legal basis for the temporary storage of the data and the “server log files” is based on our legitimate interests in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offer (pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website and will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of data for the provision of the website, this is the case when the respective session has ended.

We use cookies and similar technologies on our website. For more information, please read our Cookie Policy. Cookies are small files or part of a file stored on an internet user’s computer, creating and subsequently read by a website server, and containing personal information. With cookies, we automatically collect certain categories of personal data such as the IP Address, the internet browser you use and the operating system about your computer and your connection to the Internet.

If you contact us (per E-Mail or by filling out a contact form), we may process your personal data (e.g. Identification data, contact details) to handle and follow-up your request pursuant to Art. 6 81) (f) GDPR. Your personal data will be deleted after final processing of your request, provided that there are no legal obligations to retain the data.

You have the possibility to apply to an open position. All open positions are available under: https://www.dvgw-cert.com/stellenangebote. You can send your application and the supporting documents par mail (DVGW CERT GmbH, Josef-Wirmer-Straße 1-3, 53123 Bonn) or per e-Mail (info(at)dvgw-cert.com).

Your personal data (Identification data, contact details, application data and supportive documents) will be processed by us exclusively for the purposes of evaluating your application pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. If your application is unsuccessful, your personal data will be deleted 6 months after notification of the rejection decision pursuant to Art. 15 (4) General Act on Equal Treatment and 61 b (1) German Labour Law in conj. with Art. 26 of the German Data Protection Law. If your application is successful, we will keep your personal data in your personnel record.

We process personal data of customers and contact persons (e.g. identification data, contact data, company data, business history data, bank data) as part of a business relationship or when initiating a business relationship pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.

Your personal data may be shared within the company with the departments that require your personal data to execute a contract or to initiate a business relationship with you (e.g. finance department, Human Resource Department, etc). If required, we may also transfer your personal data to third parties such as service providers (e.g. postal service providers, logistics companies, IT service providers, event agencies, debt collection service providers and legal advisors).

We keep your personal data until termination of the contract.  If and insofar as your data is subject to legal retention periods under fiscal law, commercial law or other statutory retention obligations, we will store this data until the expiry of the aforementioned periods. These periods are, for example, 6 years under tax law and 10 years under commercial law. If we have also stored your data for the purpose of advertising on the basis of a legitimate interest, we will delete this data at the time at which you object to further advertising.

We maitain a presence on LinkedIn

On LinkedIN you have the possibility to “follow” us, comment and / or share our posts or directly interact with us. When interacting with us, we may process the following categories of personal data:

• Identification data (name, surname or nickname); 
• Contact details (e.g. your social media profil, your E-Mail Address); 
• Personal data contained in the messages you send to us.

The processing of your personal data is based on our legitimate interest in interacting with you or in answering your request.

Please note, that from a data protection point of view, we act as joint-controllers together with LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company (service provider of LinkedIn) and that a corresponding agreement has been concluded. The Agreement is available under LINK.

Additional categories of personal data may be processed by LinkedIN for marketing and analytical purposes (e.g. track your behavoir). We do not, however, have any information on how LinkedIN uses your personal data when you visit our LinkedIN profile and have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by LinkedIN.

Please also note, that your personal data may be transferred and further processed to third countries (e.g. USA). LinkedIn Corporation, has however taken part to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which enables the transfer of personal data from Europe to the USA.
